We're here to help you navigate the new experiences of living in halls and/or renting a student house - from finding somewhere suitable and checking over the details, to moving in - we've got you covered.

Support in halls

Our Res Life team can offer help and advice if you're living in University halls. From 24/7 support to community events, we help you feel at home.

We are open Monday to Friday between 09.30am and 8.00pm.

Daytime appointments

You can book a daytime appointment with us by calling the team on: +44 (0)23 9284 4500 or by emailing reslife@port.ac.uk.

We retain meeting spaces in halls of residence, so if you would prefer to meet in your halls, please let us know so we can arrange this.

Drop-Ins

We're open for drop-ins from Monday to Thursday between 11.30am and 5.00pm, and on Fridays between 12.00pm and 4.00pm.

Speak to your Resident Assistant

Resident Assistants are returning students who offer peer-to-peer support and advice to students. They will host social events and run awareness campaigns throughout the year to benefit student residents. Your best chance of meeting the Resident Assistants is through attending our events.
