The Graduate Outcomes Survey is an annual national survey for all graduates who completed a higher education course in the UK. It looks to understand whether you’re in employment, further study or have decided to set up your own business/freelance. Or perhaps, you are still finding a path that is right for you. Whatever you're up to, we'd love for you to share your journey through the graduate outcomes survey.
How you can make a difference
Graduates will be asked to share their perspectives 15 months after graduation, it will take less than 10 minutes to complete yet you will provide valuable insights into higher education for the next generation of students and enable them to make informed decisions about their future.
Did you ever look at league tables, like The Guardian University Guide or the Complete University Guide to help you choose where and what to study? If you did, then Graduate Outcomes data would have helped you get where you are today, so please take 10 minutes to help build a national picture that we can use to help develop our courses, and services and shape the future of current and future graduates.

How to complete the survey
HESA (Higher Education Statistics Agency) and their contractors deliver the survey on behalf of UK universities and colleges..
Around 15 months after graduation you will receive an invitation to complete the survey online through either:
- an email from universityofportsmouth@graduateoutcomes.ac.uk
- an SMS message from GradOutcome
- a telephone call from researchers calling on behalf of University of Portsmouth

Each year we run our Pulse project, where a team of students call recent graduates to check-in and offer further support from the Careers and Employability Service. As part of the call, we will remind you about the Graduate Outcomes Survey.
