Careers events for students and recent graduates
As a University of Portsmouth student or graduate of the last 5 years, you are eligible to attend the careers and employability events. All of our sessions are designed to help you boost your confidence, motivation, and employment prospects.
Types of career events
Career Skills Sessions
These sessions give you essential tips and advice and run throughout the academic year. The Careers and Employability team will cover topics to help you find part-time jobs, succeed at interviews, search for graduate jobs, improve your CV and much more…
Career Fairs
We organise and support a number of large career fairs each year. These provide a fantastic opportunity for you to meet employers and organisations from a variety of sectors.
Student Startup Events
If you're a budding entrepreneur, we host plenty of events to support you, from inspirational talks from alumni to practical workshops about creating your own business. Go to our full itinerary of startup events.
How to book events
You can find our upcoming events through your MyCareer account, including our regular sessions, employer and entrepreneur presentations and large recruitment events. You can set up email alerts through your account so you'll be the first to know when new events are listed.
Attendance policy
If you're no longer able to attend an event you've registered for, please email careers@port.ac.uk to cancel your booking. Please don't register for an event if you don't intend to come. Our events have limited capacity and by registering and not attending you may take a space from someone else.
