We have a host of events and projects to help you find some great jobs and opportunities over the summer, and help you make the most of your break. 

 

Placement Preparation Sessions

Our Placement Preparation Programme consists of 4 sessions and is designed exclusively for first-year undergraduate students with an optional placement year. We'll give you the essential information you need to successfully find and apply for placements at the start of your second year - when most vacancies open. Topics include:

  • Placement information session
  • Searching for placements
  • Applying for placements
  • Getting ahead this summer

One-off Volunteering Opportunities

Have some fun AND boost your CV with our exciting one-off volunteering opportunities including: 

  • Student Takeover Beach Clean - in just a couple of hours, you can help protect marine animals and provide a great service to the community. Join us on Wednesday 26 March or Wednesday 7 May
  • Takedown Festival Volunteer - Love live music? Volunteering at gigs and festivals are a great way to get involved in the action! Be part of the first Takedown Festival in 8 years on 4 and 5 April
  • Comic Con Avenger Volunteer - Joing the annual Comic Con and support with artist/celebrity liaison and supporting special element partners on 3 and 4 May.
