Whistlejacket 2017

How are your summer plans?

Learn how to use your summer vacation to boost your career prospects.

Summer vacation is a great time to earn some extra cash and boost your employability skills - often without even thinking about it!

We have a host of events and projects to help you find some great jobs and opportunities over the summer, and help you make the most of your break.

Start The Portsmouth Award

The Portsmouth Award has been designed with employers in mind to help you demonstrate your skills and experience in applications and interviews. It recognises your extracurricular achievements and shows recruiters your commitment to going above and beyond your degree.

Summer is a great time to get started or work on the award. In your spare time, you can reflect on the progress you have made this year and consider how you plan to adapt for the coming year.

The Portsmouth Award is completed online through Moodle. You can work through the programme at your own pace and seek further support from the Careers and Employability service at any point.
