If a student wishes to make a complaint, the Student Finance Centre (SFC) will do all it can to resolve the issue immediately. The SFC aims to handle complaints in line with the University of Portsmouth complaints procedure. We aim to handle those concerns in a way that:

  • Treats complaints with appropriate seriousness, sympathy and confidentiality

  • Encourages rapid and informal resolution

  • Is fair to all parties involved.

Any formal complaints relating to the SFC will be dealt with in accordance with the University of Portsmouth complaints procedure.


Complaints about staff

If you wish to make a complaint against a member of staff, you will be required to put this in writing to the Head of Department, Rachael Lyons, who will investigate the claim and meet with you in the first instance. If the complaint cannot be resolved informally you will be referred to the University of Portsmouth complaints procedure.
