University opening hours over the Easter break
Here’s when different services will be closing during the Easter break.
All academic year dates are available on MyPort.

Upcoming Easter hours
Here are the full changes in place over the holiday period.
Easter hours:
Disability Advice will be closed on Friday 3 April and Monday 6 April. Normal working times will continue before and after the closure dates.
Easter hours:
- The Terrace, The Hub and Eldon Coffee Shop will remain open over the Easter break, except for the Easter Bank Holdidays on Friday 3 April and Monday 6 April, where the cafes will be closed.
- Ravelin Sports Centre Cafe will remain open over the Easter break, with reduced hours on the Bank Holidays. Please see the Sport website for full opening hours.
- The Library Coffee Shop, Portland Coffee Shop, Pitstop, Chimes and Park Coffee Shop will be closed over the Easter break, reopening from Monday 20 April.
Easter hours:
From 30 March - 17 April, Careers and Employability will be running vacation hours:
- 9.30am to 1.00pm, Monday to Friday – online appointments only
- 1.00pm to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday – online and in-person appointments (available from the Careers Centre in Rosalind Franklin).
Closed from Friday 3 April - Tuesday 7 April. Careers will return to full term-time opening hours, 9.30am - 4.00pm, from Monday 20 April.
Easter Hours:
Chaplaincy will close at 5.00pm on Thursday 2 April and reopen at 9.00am on Tuesday 7 April.
Prayer Rooms will remain open throughout the week, 8.00am to 7.00pm, and from 9.00am to 7.00pm at the weekends and for the bank holidays. Friday Prayers will take place as usual on all Fridays including the bank holiday.

Between Friday 3 April - Monday 6 April there will be no International Student Advice service available.
Our service will resume as normal on Tuesday 7 April.

Please be aware that, between Friday 3 April - Monday 6 April, the IT Help desk will have reduced hours (10.00pm - 6.00pm) - as only one member of staff working is working.

The full list of the Library's Easter opening times is now available to read. The Library remain open 24/7 throughout the Easter period but there are changes to the Reception and IT Desk.
- Reception Desk is managed by security between Friday 3 April and Monday 6 April
- IT Desk Opens at 10.00am and closes at 6.00pm
The MyPort Hub normal hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, and from 8.30am to 4.00pm to Friday.

Move to Neptune
We recently let you know that the Students' Union will move to Neptune building. There may be an additional period where the Students' Union shop is closed in order for the team to move. We'll update this page once we have the dates. Students' Union Services will continue to be available via phone and email during the move.
Easter hours:
The University bus finishes on Friday 27 March 2026, and the service will return on Monday 20 April 2026.
