Whether you're starting your postgraduate course with us or returning after your first year, we're pleased to welcome you to the University. We hope you're excited to get started.

Accessing your online accounts

If your induction includes online activities, you'll need your student account details to access them. Your username will consist of 'UP' followed by your student ID number (for example, UP123456).

You’ll also need to log into Moodle to find all the details about your course. You’ll only have access to Moodle once you complete your registration with us.

If you're having problems logging into any University systems, please contact the Service Desk – call +44 023 9284 7777 or email servicedesk@port.ac.uk.

In this session students will meet the course leadership team be briefed about the course and, We will also help you complete your option forms, and demonstrate to you how to use, our Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle) and MyPort., our expectations of students.

A chance to get to know fellow students and to meet the course team., Use this opportunity to chat,informally to tutors about their units, and ask any questions you may have about your course.

Introduction to the work of the Academic Skills Tutors, and how they can help students to achieve, the best possible marks on their course.

Walking tour of campus to show students, the main buildings that they will be studying in.

A tour of Library services and, how to make the best use of them to ensure success.

International and EU students

If you're joining us from overseas, find out about our International Orientation events and what you need to do in your first week.

You'll need to join us in Portsmouth for the start of course. Information about registering, collecting your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP card) and ID checks for the new academic year will be sent to you by email.
