Welcome to Portsmouth
Your first few weeks of uni is a great chance to meet new people, settle into your accommodation and get to know your campus and city.
Join in with a mix of virtual events and face-to-face activities that will help you meet other students, make new friends, explore and join clubs and societies, get to grips with your studies and learn more about life at uni.

Course induction
Your personal induction timetable (published on 26 August) and your teaching timetable (published on 9 September) will both be on your Student View – so you know where to go and who to see on your course in your first few weeks. You'll need to complete your online registration before you can access your timetables.

Welcome Festival on Moving-in Weekend
Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September 2024
Once you’ve moved in, head down to our Welcome Festival on Gun House Green, right next to the Students' Union in Ravelin Park. We have plenty of room for you, your parents and friends to sit and enjoy some great food from our street food vendors, meet other students and talk to our friendly support staff who are on hand to answer all your questions. We'll be open from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday and from 10.00am to 3.00pm on Sunday.
