Your Account

After applying to the University you will have been sent a welcome email with your username and given a link to verify your account and set up your password.

Once this has been set, you can change your password at https://password.port.ac.uk.

This username will be used to log into almost all University systems. It will be in the following format: up1234567

There are 4 Open Access Areas around the campus with over 600 PC's, Apple Macs and printing facilities for you to use.

You have access to a wide range of software to help you succeed in your course.

All Open Access Area PCs and laptops are equipped with the AppsAnywhere desktop icon, which lets you download software you need and access software remotely if you need to. You can also download additional software to your University or personal laptop or computer.

The VPN (Virtual Private Network) allows you to connect securely to the University network to access University services and software which are only usually available on campus.

You have access to network storage space on the University's computer system and your University Google account gives you access to Google Drive for storing your files.
