Whether you’re leaving or staying in Portsmouth over the festive period, don’t forget to look after yourself, and remember that there’s 24/7 support available to you.

Need to talk to someone?

Until Christmas Eve you can use our WhatsUp app to contact our Student Wellbeing Service to get support and advice.

At any time you can also use our 24/7 multilingual helpline, where you can talk to a trained mental health professional straight away, day or night. Access the helpline directly via the WhatsUp app SOS Call button, or use this quick registration portal to be given the freephone helpline number.

Advice for the Christmas break

Make the Christmas break work for you with advice from Student Space - including making the most of your time at home, feeling uncomfortable about going home, or staying at Uni over the break.

In Portsmouth over Christmas?

The Res Life team is hosting socials through December - including a Christmas Film Night, a Picnic, a Winter Solstice Walk and a Games Night.

You can get help over the Christmas break from the Res Life team and the Chaplaincy - contact the University's security lodge on 023 9284 3418 and request to speak to either team.

Other University services

Most university support services - including MyPort Hubs, housing, and academic support - close on Thursday 24 December and re-open on Tuesday 4 January.

We hope you have a well and restful festive break, and look forward to welcoming you back in January.
