True and false opinions on disputed topics

The study will involve participants either lying or telling the truth in an interview about their opinion on a societal issue. The interview will be done remotely via Zoom. A follow up questionnaire and a detailed debrief will be the final stage of the study. Participants do not need to prepare anything for this study.
Prior to their appointment, participants will complete a questionnaire on their opinions about a societal issue. During their appointment, participants will be asked to tell the truth or lie about those opinions in an interview lasting about 30 minutes. Participants will complete a questionnaire prior to and after the interview.
The study cannot be done on a mobile phone, so participants need a laptop or a desktop to do the study.
Participants will receive £10 and entry into a draw to win £50, £100 or £150 as a thank you for their time.
