Exploring the awareness of Cervical cancer and perceived barriers to screening amongst female University students: A cross-sectional study

This study is investigating the awareness that University of Portsmouth female students have of Cervical Cancer and their perceived barriers to attended Cervical cancer screening (smear tests).

Longer Study Description

This study is a questionnaire containing questions investigating your awareness of Cervical Cancer and what your perceived barriers are to attending cervical cancer screenings (smear tests). The results of this study can potentially help to create tailored interventions and information that will help future female students make an informed choice about attending cervical screening.

What will participants be doing?

Completing a 10-minute questionnaire online. The participants will be sent the link to the online questionnaire to complete. It is anonymous however restricted to University of Portsmouth students using their email.

  • Biologically born female students
  • English speaking
  • Students - any level of study
  • aged 18+

Closing date

Questionnaire will be open until the 24th of June 2024. It may be completed at any time.
