Show off costumes, food, arts and crafts at the Festival of Cultures, as part of the University's Global Week 2020.

We're looking for student and staff volunteers from all different cultures and nationalities (including British!) to host a table to showcase their background. You can also bring your laptop for photo slideshows, music or videos, or do a performance on stage if you wish! This is your chance to share your culture with pride.

In the past, students have done Chinese calligraphy, henna, face-painting, selfie boards, dressing up booths and much more. Performances have included Bulgarian folk dancing, traditional Nepalese dancing, Indonesian bamboo music, Bhangra, Arabic 'Chobi' dancing, singing, Kung Fu demonstrations and more!

Festival of Cultures will take place on Wednesday 18 March across two venues – Spinnaker Sports Centre for the exhibition and 3rd Space at the Students' Union for performances, from 5.00pm – 9.00pm.

The event is mainly for staff, students and their families, and is alcohol-free.

If you would like to have a stall, or a performance, please email the Global team.
