Throughout lock-down, the Graduate School team has been providing weekly, Wednesday morning catch-ups catering to all Postgraduate Research Degree students (PGRs) across all faculties, with thanks to support from staff across the university and external facilitators.

What are they?

These bespoke sessions have been provided as PGR catch-up sessions with a theme. After surveying students there have been topics covered in the GSDP they have wanted small refreshers on, or some topics they wanted brief expansion on. We have also been covering some special interest topics such as ‘Writing for the Conversation’, ‘Wellbeing’ and ‘Beat the Blank Page: Tips for restoring motivation to write’.All sessions are offered online and if anyone has missed any of these sessions and would like to follow-up, we do have additional resources available and recordings of the sessions via moodle.

What’s next?

We will continue to run these events throughout July and re-launch again in September, allowing for a break over August. You can keep up-to-date with current PGR catch-up events from the Graduate School via our Eventbrite page.
