Have you ever thought what it might be like to make a difference to your community and even one day become your own boss?
If the answer is yes, then there is an exciting new programme at the University that is right for you; and to help, you could end up winning a £3,000 grant as well to support your ideas.
This year the University is launching The Enterprise Programme. The programme will provide you with the skills, confidence and competencies to help you become a more enterprising individual that knows how to make things happen.
Whether your goal is to develop an enterprising mindset and skills, think in a more entrepreneurial way, become self-employed, be the boss, or start a social movement, this programme will help you to start that journey.
Interested in getting involved?
Sessions will be practical, engaging and nothing like the classroom. On the journey you’ll be engaging with real people, successful entrepreneurs and university staff all passionate and eager to help you become an enterprise success. You’ll also get involved in:
- practical training and experience around telling the story of your ideas
- learn how to collaborate, develop resilience and how to get started
- engage in peer sessions
- have your own mentor and access to a suite of digital online tools
When does it start?
The course starts on Wednesday 23 February 2022 and will be held every Wednesday afternoon at the University's Future Technology Centre or online (the choice is yours). It will run for nine weeks and we will be making time to flexibly get you involved in peer groups as well as having your own 1-1 mentor. We are also making sure that sessions are fun, enjoyable and don’t take place when you are in lectures.
If you need to exit the course, we’ll give you a certificate that includes what you have completed so far; and we will happily welcome you back in future years.
