The University of Portsmouth Students' Union (UPSU) is excited to announce that local Portsmouth artist & trans activist Samo will be giving a talk at UPSU as part of their Speaker Series.
The session will take place in the Third Space upstairs at the Students' Union.
You will have seen Samo's art around Southsea as he has definitely had a massive impact on the Portsmouth art scene!
Samo will be talking about his journey, what impact he has had on the art world and about the space they have taken as a trans activist and artist.
Samo will also be giving a Q&A at the end of the talk to answer any questions about art or identity.
Additionally, Samo will be holding an art workshop after the talk titled "Exploring identity and queer creative expression", where he will look at identity and explore that creatively. Please note the art workshop has limited spaces and is for students only.
To reserve either a talk ticket, an art ticket or both please select the desired option(s).
The talk will begin at 2.00pm and the art session will begin around 3.30pm.
