Quick and simple: how to set up two-step verification for your university Google account
17 September 2024
It's really important to set up two-step verification on your university Google account. Two-step verification is an enhanced security method of logging in, using an authenticator app or a code received by text message, to keep your account more secure than if you just used a password.
It's really easy to set this up:
- Open your Google Account
- In the navigation panel, select "Security"
- Under “How you sign in to Google,” select "2-Step Verification" and then “Get started”
- Follow the on-screen steps
It is important to set up at least two methods to ensure that you can still access your account if (for example) you lose access to your phone.
