Who can you turn to if you're experiencing financial difficulties?

Need help with sorting out your student loan for your course, but you’re not sure where to start or ask for help from? The Student Finance Centre at the University of Portsmouth is always there for you, as this anonymous student says:

Last academic year, my funding and DSA support was not approved until late October, due to difficulties with evidencing my residency status in the UK. The situation had reached a point where I was no longer able to focus and perform well on my studies, due to lack of funding.

Experiencing a risk of debt was an extremely overwhelming experience for me. Thus, I decided to seek advice from the Student Finance team at the University. The team is brilliant, friendly and always willing to provide the best support possible. The advisors were always there to offer confidential information and guidance on resolving the matter in the most efficient way possible.

Although the situation was not straightforward, Following countless appointments and numerous phone calls chasing up my application, we finally managed to sort out my finances and get things back in order.

Last but not least, I would recommend everyone who faces financial difficulties due to issues with their loan, to contact the Student Finance Centre as soon as possible. All the advisors are well trained and skilled. They will listen to your concerns and provide you with the right guidance.
