In the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) - a national assessment of universities - we were awarded the highest overall rating of Gold.

To celebrate this, we’re handing out chocolate gold coins to anyone who wants one.

What achieving TEF Gold means
Our Gold rating confirms the sustained and consistent nature of the University’s outstanding offer to students and ranks Portsmouth amongst the top universities in the UK for teaching.
We are one of only 27 Gold rated universities in England, and 1 of 5 Gold rated universities in the South East.
