Ensuring safe usage of hand tools throughout the University
Introduction
Hand tools are used throughout the University by staff, students and contractors. It is therefore important that such tools are used in a safe and appropriate manner, for example using the correct tools for the job and ensuring they are being used and stored appropriately.
Guidance
The Health, Safety and Compliance Team have created the following Technical Guidance Note to provide information and advice about good practice with regards to the safe use of hand tools at the University:
