Lone working

Ensuring measures are in place to reduce the risks to staff and students lone working on campus

Introduction

Lone workers are those who work by themselves without close or direct supervision. As there may not be anyone to help or support if things go wrong, lone workers are at a greater risk from hazards impacting their work. An the employer, the University provides training, supervision, monitoring and support in order for lone workers to be as safe as reasonably practicable.
