A study to examine how several cognitive processes are related to alcohol use. Participating would contribute towards a PhD student's thesis and the possibility that the results will be published as a peer-reviewed article and at academic conferences. It is hoped that results will inform future research and practice.
What will participants be doing?
Participants will attend a study session where they will complete several psychometric tests, a mild stress test, and consume an alcoholic drink.
The study session will take place at the King Henry Building, Room 2.05 (Biomarkers and Olfaction Lab), King Henry I Street, Portsmouth, PO1 2DY, and should take between one and a half and two hours.
Participant characteristics:
- any gender
- aged between 18 and 55
- you have good physical and psychiatric health
- you regularly drink alcohol (i.e., at least once per month)
Reward
Each participant will receive a £15 reward for taking part.
