Do you want a job that can fit around your studies?

Being a Student Guide for the Faculty of Business and Law means you can:

  • Earn money (£10.90 per hour)
  • Increase your employability 
  • Develop your confidence

In this role you will work at events such as Open Days, Applicant Experience Days and other events in the Faculty.

Your Responsibilities 

Student Guides provide assistance in preparations, upkeep and hospitality and the closing down of events. You may be asked to present during a course talk, take visitors on tours of the Faculty or welcome visitors to the event. You may also get involved with photoshoots and other Marketing requests.

Events run all year round and we will need you to be able to work all of these dates:

  • Wednesday 28 June 2023
  • Saturday 1 July 2023
  • Saturday 9 September 2023
  • Saturday 7 October 2023
  • Saturday 4 November 2023

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for people who are enthusiastic about studying in the Faculty of Business and Law and are fully engaged with their course so that you have knowledge of the programme. The role requires you to attend the majority of our events and talk with visitors about what it is to be a student on your course and at the University of Portsmouth.
