Expert support for every emotion
Your health and wellbeing matters to us, and it's important for your learning too.
Find out more about the many ways we can help you take care of your mind, body and spirit so that you are set to manage challenges and fulfil your potential.
General health
As you embark on your exciting university journey, it's worth taking a moment to ensure you're fully protected against meningitis. This preventable illness can affect anyone, but new students are particularly at risk due to increased social mixing.
The good news is that a simple vaccination can provide robust protection. The MenACWY jab, offered to most students in year nine or ten, safeguards against four types of meningococcal bacteria. If you're unsure whether you've had this vaccine, it's a brilliant idea to check with your GP before heading off to uni. By taking this small step, you'll be setting yourself up for a healthier, worry-free start to your academic adventure. Remember, your wellbeing is just as important as your studies.
Once you get here we suggest registering with a doctor (GP) and making sure you are looking after your physical health too.
