Get involved in volunteering

Volunteering is a fulfilling way to give back to the community. As well as helping others, it also improves volunteers' wellbeing too - it’s human nature to feel good after helping someone out. Volunteering can also help you gain valuable new skills and experiences for your CV, and boost your confidence.

The Volunteering Team, based in the Careers and Employability Service, advertises local and remote volunteering roles for not-for-profit organisations. These are flexible so you can fit volunteering around your studies and other commitments.

Check out MyCareer to find roles linked to your course, career aspirations or a cause you are passionate about. You don't need to create an account to use MyCareer, just sign in using your usual UoP login details.
