Support over the Christmas period

University support services are open as normal until Friday 22 December, after which they'll be operating limited holiday opening hours.

If you’d like wellbeing or other support after Friday 22 December, you contact the University's Security Lodge on 023 9284 3418 and ask for either:

The Res Life team

If you're staying in Portsmouth over the break and need emergency advice or support, you can contact our team by calling the security lodge on 023 9284 3418 and asking to speak to Res Life. For non-urgent concerns, you can email reslife@port.ac.uk, and the team will pick up your email on their return 2nd January 2024.

The Chaplaincy

Our chaplains offer pastoral support to all students regardless of belief or background. Over the Christmas and New Year period, an on-call chaplain will be available to offer telephone support in urgent situations. You can contact them by calling the security lodge on 023 9284 3418 and asking to speak to the on-call chaplain. The chaplains will also be checking their inbox (chaplains@port.ac.uk) every morning and will respond to any requests that cannot wait until the start of the new term.
