Want to get your assignment finished? Need a motivational supportive environment to get those words 'on paper'? Want to be able to ask for some academic skills to help if you get stuck or need advice?
We're here to help. Join one or more of our on-campus, in-person Science and Health 'Writing Retreat' sessions.
What are these sessions for:
To work on an assignment, such as a report, presentation, or essay, even if you have started it already. We will provide a focused environment for you to do this, and offer some academic support, if needed. You can also attend multiple sessions, if you wish.
Who are they for:
As long as you are a student on any course with the Faculty of Science and Health, you can sign up, regardless of level. Feel free to bring a course-mate or friend if they also need a quiet, focused environment in which to work.
When and where:
- Thursday 5th February 10am-12pm; Richmond Building, Floor 2, Room: RB 2.05
Ground rules:
- Aim to arrive on time so you don't disturb others who have already started their work
- You will need to be present for at least 30 minutes to receive feedback on your written work
- No talking, except during breaks or when getting tutor support (treat it like the silent area in the library)
- You can leave to take breaks, but please do so quietly
Can't attend this session? See our other dates:
-
Tuesday 3rd February 2-4pm; Park Building, Floor 3, Room: PK 3.20
-
Wednesday 4th February 2-4pm; Park Building, Floor 2, Room: PK 2.15
These sessions are first serve due to room capacity. If the session you have chosen is fully booked, you will be offered an alternative session if available.
