For the Class of 2021, the first round of ticket bookings is due to open between 1 and 8 April 2021 and will close on 30 April. Graduates are guaranteed a ticket if they book by 30 April 2021. Guest tickets will be available subject to government regulations.

Remember that even if you're attending graduation without guests, you'll have to book your Graduate ticket. You won't be able to attend without a Graduate ticket.

Ticket costs

Tickets for Graduates and up to 2 guests (if available) are free. Additional guest tickets (if available) are £15 each.

You won’t sit with your guests during the ceremony. Guests are seated separately to Graduates.

Child tickets

Child tickets are free.

Children aged 2–12 need a ticket. Infants (ages 0–2) don’t need a ticket but we need to know if you’re bringing an infant due to the restrictions on numbers for fire and safety regulations at the venue.

Let us know you need an infant ticket by providing details in the ‘special requirements’ field when you book your guest tickets.

If you’re bringing children, bear in mind that the ceremony is a formal occasion and lasts for around 1.5 hours. Depending on whether a child is comfortable sitting for that long, guests with young children may wish to watch the ceremony live online.

Carer tickets

If you or one of your guests has a registered carer, we’ll provide an additional free carer ticket.

Let us know you need a carer ticket by providing details in the ‘special requirements’ field when you book your guest tickets.

Booking tickets

When bookings for your ceremony open, we’ll send you a link to the booking system by email.

Each ceremony has its own allocated booking opening date, so don’t worry if a fellow student on a different course has received an email and you haven't yet.

We may contact you to confirm exactly what requirements you need so you have the best possible experience on the day.

If you or your guests use a wheelchair, let us know when you book your tickets by using the ‘special requirements’ field.

Booking additional tickets

The availability of additional guest tickets depends on the remaining venue capacity for your ceremony.

We’ll email you if and when additional tickets are available for your ceremony.

There may be some tickets available on the day. We’ll advise you of this nearer the time by email.

Guests without tickets

Anyone without a ticket can watch the ceremony online.

MRES students

Learning at Work students

If you’re a Learning at Work student, your booking form may not have the correct course title. This is because Learning at Work courses appear differently on your student record.

You’ll still graduate on your expected degree programme and the details will be correct on the day.
