Stay up to date with campus news and events

Win a University hoodie

We’ve launched a new WhatsApp channel to keep you up to date about what’s happening on campus and the great things you can get involved in.

We know a lot of students use WhatsApp and many in last year’s Student Communications Survey said they’d like the University to communicate with students using WhatsApp.

Follow on WhatsApp

All you need to do is:

  1. Follow the University of Portsmouth Students channel
  2. Tap the bell icon in our channel to get notified every time we post

3 important things to know:

  • WhatsApp channels are different to group chats. No one in the channel can see your personal details or phone number (including us)
  • Channels are one way updates, so you can’t respond directly to the messages we post. You can react with emojis, tap links and take part in polls anonymously. Think of it like a news source for students. If you have a question, please email Student News
  • If you want to chat with other students, use our Unibuddy Community when it relaunches for September 2026
