New students starting in January 2026 can join our chat group on Unibuddy Community
After you complete your registration form, new students will be emailed an invite to join our exclusive ‘January 2026 New Students’ chat group in our Unibuddy Community, where you can meet new students like you. You’ll also be able to join other groups with students from across the University who share your interests in sports, societies, and more. It’s a great way to start making friends and feel part of the university community from day one.

- Do use your @myport.ac.uk email address to sign up so we know you're a student
- Add your name, study area and the country you’re from. This will make it easier for you to find people on your course and from your country
- Do keep it friendly and safe for all
- Do respect others
- Do be careful in sharing your personal information with others
- Do contact @Moderators if anything seems suspicious
Don't
- NO explicit language
- NO explicit content
- NO hate speech, racism, homophobia, bullying, or aggressive behaviour will be tolerated
- NO harassment of any kind

- NO promoting of cruelty, violence, self-harm, or suicide
