Original communication: Wednesday 1 November 4.00pm

The Met Office has issued a weather warning in light of Storm Ciarán which is set to hit areas of the UK tomorrow (Thursday 2 November).  At this time the University will remain open and we will continue to operate as usual.

The safety of our students and colleagues is our top priority and we advise to only travel if it is safe to do so. If you’ll be travelling by train, please check the relevant website in advance of travelling.

In addition, some outdoor activities such as outdoor sports may be cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions.

If you have any concerns, or find you are unable to travel tomorrow, please speak to your tutors.

We will be monitoring the situation carefully and will update everyone if necessary.
