We are delighted to confirm that the main entrance to the University Library, on Cambridge Road, is now open again.
Following the fire in the Library Foyer on 4 January, the University Estates team and Library team have worked closely to ensure that services continued whilst the repair and reconstruction work was completed in just one month.
We have also taken the opportunity of the temporary closure to refresh and redecorate the toilets in the Foyer.
Getting into the building
- All registered staff, students and External members should bring their University cards with them to scan through the Library turnstiles.
- Visitors and registered users coming to collect their card should present themselves at the Reception Desk during Reception Desk opening hours (as per the opening hours on the website)
As the main entrance is now open, there are no longer limits on reduced numbers in the building; and we will be closing the temporary entrance at the rear of the Library this morning.
