Our students Ben Heyes and Lottie Parker have taken on volunteer roles as ‘student ambassadors’ for the Movember foundation, attending training days and working closely with the charity on ways to encourage our students to get involved with the campaign.
In the lead up to November, they have been working hard alongside our student sports clubs and societies, supporting the organisation and delivery of many student-led, social and sporting fundraiser events that will take place throughout the month. They have also been running a giveaway contest, and will be hosting various raffles throughout the month.

You can join in and support the cause in many ways!
Ben and Lottie encourage you to, if you can, join the well-known ‘Shave Down’ on Thursday 31 October, and grow a moustache throughout November to help raise awareness for the cause.
You can also join Movember’s ‘Move for Mental Health’ challenge, running or walking 60 km over the month, or you could attend some of our student events such as the Cheerleading club’s ‘Night at the races’, The Football and Futsal clubs’ charity match, American Football’s pub quiz, or Gymnastics and Trampolining & Dance’s ‘Men in Motion’ event.
Head to movember.com for more information, and make sure to follow our ambassadors Instagram page to see what they get up to @uopmovember!
