The temporary move will allow us to refurbish the existing Students' Union, and build our Student Hub
The Students’ Union will soon move to the newly refurbished Neptune Building, on Lord Montgomery Way.
Why are the Students’ Union moving?
The move is temporary. While the Students' Union are in the Neptune Building, the current Students’ Union building will be refurbished as part of the exciting new Student Hub project that will connect the Students’ Union and the Library.
Once the work is finished, the Students' Union will move back into a brand new, vibrant space. Right now, the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
When are they moving?
The move will take place after Easter. We’re working on the finishing touches to the building, and we’ll share the confirmed dates soon.
Make sure you follow the Students’ Union on Instagram to be the first to know.
Will the support from the Students’ Union change?
Not at all! You’ll still get the same great support, activities, and opportunities from the Students’ Union. Neptune Building will include:
- The Union Shop and reception
- Union services, such as Student Groups, Student Advice Service and Student Events Teams
- Two common areas to relax and socialise
- Bookable meeting rooms
- A dedicated space for the student pantry
- Dance studios
We’ll share more details soon, so keep an eye out.
