UPDATE - 4.00pm, Friday 4 April 25
The power outage in Phase 2 of the St Andrew’s Building (the four-storey unit with the clocktower) has now been resolved. While additional electrical work is planned for the future, it will be scheduled and communicated in advance.
All essential checks have been completed, with further checks taking place Monday morning. The building will be open as normal from Monday for all activities.
Please note that some access control issues remain, but staff and students can still enter the building.
Due to a power outage, Phase 2 of St Andrew’s Building (the 4 storey unit with the clocktower) is currently closed until further notice.
Our Estates team is actively working to resolve the issue and implement a suitable fix.
Staff and students based in the affected part of the building will be contacted shortly with alternative arrangements for teaching and other activities. The remainder of the St Andrew’s buildings remain open as usual.
We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Further updates will be shared as soon as more information becomes available.
