New video reveals progress on University sports centre

Ravelin Sports Centre, one of the UK’s greenest sports centres is taking shape and on track to open next year.

A new walkthrough video reveals the progress that's been made on the facilities for staff, students and our local community - including an eight lane swimming pool, 175 station fitness suite, sports hall, climbing wall, squash courts and ski simulator. The 11,000sq metre site’s green features include a community urban orchard, green roof with solar panels, internal heat recovery systems and a biodiverse wildflower amphitheatre.

BREEAM, the world’s leading sustainability assessment for buildings has also rated Ravelin Sports Centre as “Outstanding” and the project was a winner at the BREEAM 2020 Awards
