A new cafe has opened on the fifth floor of the University Learning Centre (ULC) on Winston Churchill Avenue for students and staff.

From today (12 October) the new ULC cafe is offering Starbucks coffee, along with a selection of breakfast rolls, freshly baked croissants and sandwiches. There’ll also be a limited lunch menu, which will grow as more students and staff return to campus.

The cafe has moved to this new site from St Andrew’s Court Cafe, which has now closed. The new location at the ULC has room for more customer seating and counter space, and offers great views across Portsmouth rooftops.

The ULC cafe will be open:

  • Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 5.00pm
  • Fridays 8.00am to 4.30pm

Covid-19 safety measures and seating at campus cafes

In all University cafes, there’s a range of Covid-19 safety measures in place to keep customers safe. This includes queueing systems and QR codes for checking in on the NHS Covid-19 app.

ULC, Eldon, Park, Portland and The Hub cafes now all have limited seating available. Currently Cafe Coco is offering a takeaway service only because of the limited layout and space inside.
