National Hate Crime Awareness Week
National Hate Crime Awareness Week takes place between 10-17 October 2020 and is an opportunity for us all to make sure we understand what hate crime is, how to report it, encourage others to do so, and how we can support those who may be experiencing it.
The University is an inclusive community, and there is no place for hate crime. We are a Third Party Reporting Centre and encourage those who experience hate-related incidents to report them and get support.
You can do this anonymously through:
- The University’s Report and Support tool
- The True Vision website
- or through the University Police Liaison Officer, David Fairbrother
You can learn more about hate crime and how to deal with it on our Report and Support website. Staff are also able to book onto a Hate Crime Awareness session, delivered by Hampshire Constabulary, though the staff learning and development programme.
