Event Details:

What's This About?

We're building a cutting-edge Technology Building on the current University House site as part of our £250 million Estate Masterplan. At this event, you can:

  • meet the architects and see their innovative designs
  • check out the plans for the new building
  • share your ideas about the plans

What's in the New Building?

Set to open in Spring 2028, the Technology Building will be home to:

  • new teaching classrooms and research spaces
  • social areas for hanging out and collaborative work
  • a modern lecture theatre and event space
  • up-to-date computer suites, science labs and engineering workshops

You’ll also be able to see plans for the new CELAB (Civil Engineering Lab), a purpose-built facility designed to complement the nearby Technology Building. This single-story structure will be located on the existing car park near Wiltshire Street, housing specialised laboratories and support facilities crucial for civil engineering education and research.

Can't make it?

Exhibition boards will be available in the Portland atrium until 25 February. You can submit your feedback online and the plans will soon be made available on the Building Our Future webpage.
