Are you interested in developing CPR skills and then training others to save lives? Sign up with the South Central Ambulance Service as a ‘Restart a Heart’ CPR Volunteer.

‘Restart a Heart’ is an international day to encourage people to learn CPR and this year, an event will be held on Friday 15 October to offer CPR training to the local community. You do not need to have any existing knowledge of CPR to be a volunteer, just the willingness to learn this fantastic life skill.

As a volunteer, you will be focussed on facilitating one-to-one or group CPR sessions with members of the community at large-scale CPR training events so you will gain experience in speaking in front of groups of people. You will get support from a team of professionals and volunteers from the University and South Central Ambulance Service staff.

Time Commitment

We would like volunteers for the ‘Restart a heart’ event taking place at Commercial Road, Portsmouth, on Friday 15 October to teach members of the community how to deliver CPR. Specific times for your volunteering can be agreed closer to the time, but you must be able to join us for a minimum of 1 hour on the day between 11am and 2pm.

Training and refresher sessions will be given in-person by University and South Central Ambulance staff on Saturday 9 October at 10.30am-12.00pm, 12.30pm-2pm and 2.30pm-4pm. You only need to attend 1 session. Further details on the location will be sent out nearer the time.
