Portsmouth Mental Health Hub is a phoneline that anyone living in the city aged 16+ can call to get support for their mental health - including University students.

Meet the team in person

Find out more about the support available from the Portsmouth Mental Health Hub, as well as the University's Student Wellbeing Service and Students' Union's Advice Service by meeting our friendly staff:

University Library atrium

Tuesday 31 October | 12.00pm - 2.00pm

Tuesday 5 December | 12.00pm - 2.00pm

You'll be able to find out more about how these services can help you, and get more information on what to do if you face wellbeing challenges in the future.

Win one of a University hoodie

To be in with the chance to win a University of Portsmouth hoodie, stop by the stall and contribute to our Wellbeing Tree.

Share your top tip for looking after your own mental health, to help other students with theirs.

Once you've contributed to the tree, drop your student number into our hat, and we'll draw a winner afterwards. Keep an eye on your University email account to find out if you've won.

What the Portsmouth Mental Health Hub can help with with

The phoneline is run by a team of friendly, fully trained call handlers, who will connect you to the right support for you. This could be support over the phone, an appointment with services such as Talking Change or Positive Minds, or an offer to connect you with local organisations.

You can contact the team anonymously and you can call about yourself or anyone you might be concerned about. It's open Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 6.00pm, for anyone living, working, or studying in Portsmouth, and you do not need to go through your GP before contacting the Hub.

Contact the Hub on 0300 123 6621 or visit www.mentalhealthinportsmouth.co.uk for information and advice.

Throughout October and November, in partnership with Health and Care Portsmouth, we're promoting the Portsmouth Mental Health Hub on campus. The Hub team will be running pop-up events in the libraries alongside the University's wellbeing service and you'll start to see posters and leaflets across our sites, on our social media channels and on MyPort.
