Andy’s Man Club is coming to us
Mental health is a critical issue for all students, and male students at UK universities face unique challenges. Research shows that male students are less likely to seek help for their mental health or periods of low mood, leading to higher risks of severe consequences like substance abuse, academic difficulties, and thoughts of self-harm.
As we approach Movember, a month that shines a spotlight on the men’s physical and mental health, we are pleased to be partnering with Andy’s Man Club, a safe space for our men students, to go and talk to other men and identify ways to take steps to positive mental wellbeing.
On Monday 4 November at 1pm at Eldon in lecture theatre W1.11, representatives from the charity will be coming to talk to us about our new partnership, their tools, resources, support groups and peer support. Feel free to just turn up on the day or sign up on Eventbrite, so we can share more information about the new on campus group.
