Exclusive part time roles at Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks
Salary: £10.28 per hour
Location: Remote working/home based
Closing date: 18 November 2020
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) are looking to recruit 25 Call Advisers to cover the winter months. SSEN distributes power to 3.7 million homes in central southern England and Scotland.
In this role you will be the first point of contact for customers calling the emergency contact centre. These roles are exclusively for University of Portsmouth students and you’ll work 16 hours per month across 2 or 3 shifts, with a requirement to work extra hours on a flexible on-call basis. SSEN will make sure this does not interfere with your academic commitments, and roles will involve up to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
You’ll be home based, but full training and equipment will be provided. These are great opportunities to earn extra money and gain work experience in a customer focused setting.
These roles will be popular, so act now! Further information and details on how to apply can be found on MyCareer.

Some volunteering roles are still available during the lockdown, which are mostly digital/remote. However there are also a small number of appropriate activities for students which has been agreed with the University’s Health and Safety Department. Government guidance sets out that volunteering is allowed currently, but do follow the Covid safety guidance to keep yourself and others safe.
