Finding and securing a work placement just got easier! Our newly combined Placement Team, based at the Careers and Employability Service on Guildhall Walk, is here to support you every step of the way on your placement journey. Whether you're searching for the ideal role, polishing your CV, preparing for interviews, or figuring out the right time to take a placement, we've got you covered.
We can help you with:
- Help with finding and applying for placements;
- Support with applications and interview prep;
- Guidance on navigating competitive recruitment processes;
- Wellbeing support during your placement;
- Assistance with transitioning back to uni for your final year.
Work placements can boost your grades, your starting salary, and your job prospects. And, if you’re an undergraduate student starting your degree in September 2024, you'll also have the option to do your placement at the end of your course.
To meet the team and find placement opportunities, come along to our careers fairs:
- Work Experience Festival – Tuesday 8 October, 11.00am to 2.00pm at John Pounds Centre
- Graduate Recruitment and Placements Fair – Thursday 17 October, 11.00am to 3.00pm at Ravelin Sports Centre
