Building your Student Hub: An update

Preparations are underway for the University's new Student Hub, which will create a dedicated space for study, support and student life at the heart of our campus.

Hoardings are now in place around the future Student Hub site and will remain throughout the construction period. which is expected to last until spring 2028.

Please note that access through Gun House Green is no longer available.

To access Ravelin Park and Ravelin Sports Centre, please use:

• The entrance from Cambridge Road next to the library, or
• The Hampshire Terrace entrance next to the Dental Academy

Please allow a little extra time when travelling between campus locations if you would normally use the Gun House Green route.

What to expect from the new Student Hub

Connecting the University Library and Students' Union, the Student Hub will bring together social learning spaces, wellbeing and support services, lounge areas, coffee facilities, a Students' Union shop and flexible event spaces, helping to create a more connected student experience. 

We'll continue to share updates as the project progresses, including key milestones and any changes that may affect access around the site.
