Our Ravelin Sports Centre is on course to open in 2022 and building continues at a pace! Check out this seagull’s view of our new outstanding facility making its mark on Portsmouth’s cityscape. The steel frame has progressed to the wet changing area. The sports hall roof and floor is being installed and diggers are busy installing the drainage.
The centre will have facilities for students, staff and our local community - including an eight lane swimming pool, 175 station fitness suite, sports hall, climbing wall, squash courts and ski simulator.
The 11,000sq metre site’s green features include a community urban orchard, green roof with solar panels, internal heat recovery systems and a biodiverse wildflower amphitheatre.
BREEAM, the world’s leading sustainability assessment for buildings has also rated Ravelin Sports Centre as “Outstanding” and the project was a winner at the BREEAM 2020 Awards.
