Advice for Arrivals on Saturday 12 September

If you are already in Portsmouth or planning to travel to the city this Saturday 12 September, please be aware that planned demonstrations and travel disruption are expected to make the city centre significantly busier than usual. 

If you had planned to move in this Saturday, we strongly recommend that, where possible, you change your plans and arrive on Sunday instead. 

If you do need to arrive on Saturday, we strongly advise you to avoid Portsmouth city centre between 11.00am and 3.00pm, particularly the Commercial Road and Guildhall Square areas, where demonstrations are due to take place. 

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but our priority is to help make your arrival as safe and straightforward as possible. 

Other University and city events, including our Welcome Festival at Ravelin Park, will continue as planned over the weekend.
