Join our first UoP Entrepreneurial Collective of the academic year
Our first collective of the year is taking place on Thursday 22 October, 4.30pm-6.30pm in the Careers Centre.
These informal gatherings are designed to help students and graduates expand their networks, share ideas, learn from others and find inspiration from people on similar journeys.
The Entrepreneurial Collective is a community for all University of Portsmouth students and graduates who are interested in:
- Enterprise
- Entrepreneurship
- Innovation
- Freelancing
- Side hustles
- Startups
Whether you're running a business, exploring a new idea, building a creative project, or simply curious about entrepreneurship, there's a place for you here
We bring together founders, aspiring entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial minds to share ideas, build connections and support one another. The Collective is designed to be welcoming, inclusive and accessible, regardless of experience level. Curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm are just as valuable as a business plan.
Through a combination of online networking, in-person events and opportunities to collaborate, we are building a supportive community where students and graduates can learn from one another, discover new opportunities and turn ideas into action.
At the heart of the Collective are three simple goals:

- Build confidence, skills and opportunities through entrepreneurship and enterprise

The UoP Entrepreneurial Collective LinkedIn Group is our online home for conversation, collaboration and connection.
It's a space where University of Portsmouth students and graduates can exchange ideas, ask questions, share experiences and support each other's entrepreneurial journeys.

Our monthly meetups bring the entrepreneurial community together in person.
These informal gatherings are designed to help students and graduates expand their networks, share ideas, learn from others and find inspiration from people on similar journeys.
Whether you're launching a startup, growing a side hustle, freelancing, developing a project or just exploring the world of entrepreneurship, you'll be welcome.
At each meetup, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Meet like-minded students and graduates
- Build meaningful connections and collaborations
- Share challenges, ideas and successes
- Learn from guest speakers, founders and peers
- Discover opportunities and resources to support your goals
No pitching experience, business experience or existing venture is required. If you're interested in entrepreneurship, innovation, or creating something new, we'd love you to join us.
As the Collective grows, members will have access to a growing range of opportunities, from networking and collaboration to events, workshops and initiatives such as the Students' Union Pop-Up Markets. Whatever stage you're at, we'll help you find opportunities to explore ideas, build skills and take your next step.
