Organisation Profile
The NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme (GMTS) is a longstanding and highly respected, fast-track, leadership development programme within the NHS. It recruits around 200 trainees each year across four key specialisms (General Management, Human Resources, Finance and Health Informatics) as part of the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan (2023).
The GMTS provides an outstanding combination of blended learning experience with rotational work-based placements, postgraduate qualifications, leadership development and experiential learning. The GMTS is committed to increasing the inclusivity and diversity of NHS leaders by attracting diverse talent into the scheme so that it has an inclusive workforce representative of the communities it serves.
Our trainees work in a range of organisations and types of services. You could be improving patient care in a busy hospital department or developing better ways of using data to improve key services as part of an office-based team. You will face challenges and enjoy success on a scheme where no two days are the same. This could be the start of an amazing journey.
