Begin your careers in the business, marketing, law or finance sector
Discover the benefits and opportunities of a business, marketing, law or finance placement year
Start your career by doing a placement before your final year. Placements are available on many of our business, marketing, law or finance sandwich degree courses.
Previous business, marketing, law and finance students spent their placement year working for companies such as Bosch, IBM and Walt Disney UK. They worked in areas such as project management, business development and supply chain management.
Your placement will give you valuable experience to help grow your professional network, enhance your CV and improve your chances of employment after graduation.
My year at EY has added an unbelievable amount of value to my overall university experience. I have developed a range of transferable skills, gained an insight into the world of professional working and made connections which will inevitably support my future career plans. I now feel super prepared and motivated to graduate, but most importantly I’ve had lots of fun and gained some life-long friends along the way!

As a Marketing Associate at SAP Concur, I was responsible for assisting with communications for the UK SMN team. I really enjoyed being able to participate in projects that not only developed my skills but also provided value to the business. In addition, having the opportunity to work within a marketing team greatly developed my business knowledge and I am confident that finding a job after university will be much easier due to my experience.
